{"id":1382,"date":"2022-02-12T20:30:23","date_gmt":"2022-02-13T01:30:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/info.pediatricsdirectory.com\/?p=1382"},"modified":"2023-09-09T14:25:07","modified_gmt":"2023-09-09T18:25:07","slug":"1382-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pediatricscommunity.com\/info\/1382\/","title":{"rendered":"Sports Program Fee Waiver"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-3\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:25%\"><i class=\"fas fa-clipboard-check clinicaltrial\"><\/i>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:75%\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">OPEN CLINICAL STUDY (Minneapolis &#8211; St Paul MN): Neighborhood Park Youth Sports Program Fee Waiver and Intensive Family Outreach<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>To evaluate a park-level intervention <span class=\"highlighter\">to increase child moderate \/ vigorous physical activity, and decrease sedentary time<\/span> among low-income racially \/ ethnically diverse children ages 6-12 yrs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neighborhood parks (n=24) from Minneapolis (n=8) and Saint Paul (n=16) park systems will be randomized for a 2-year period to one of two arms: 1) Intensive Park Outreach and Youth Sports Program Fee Waiver (n=10); or 2) Youth Sports Program Fee Waiver Only (n=10). To allow for exploratory analyses comparing these two treatments to no treatment, 4 additional Saint Paul parks will be randomized to 3) Comparison Condition: Current Park Outreach and Youth Sports Program Fee Structure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The evaluation cohort will consist of 432 children ages 6-12 yrs who reside in one of the 24 randomized park neighborhoods.
