H. pylori breath test
Use the ARUP Laboratories H. pylori Breath Test to diagnose H. pylori infection in children and adolescents (3 to 17 years of age). This test is New York DOH approved. This test requires the child to fast for 1 hour prior to test administration. The patient should not have taken antibiotics, proton pump inhibitors, or bismuth preparations within the previous 14 days.
